Day 1: Your guide meets you in Florence and brings you into the Chianti countryside. Walk in the hills above Greve. After lunch, share in a wine tasting at one of the new high tech cantinas that allows you to taste any of the Super Tuscans. Transfer to your hotel and relax before dinner.
The walk: 3 miles; 4.8 kilometers
Accommodations: Fattoria Valle, Panzano or Albergo del Chianti, Greve (B,D) Day 2: Following an Italian buffet breakfast, walk along the “vigne maggio”, the one time resident of La Jaconda otherwise known as the Mona Lisa. Take along a picnic lunch. Delight in the splendid vistas of the surrounding valleys.
Accommodations: Fattoria Valle, Panzano or Albergo del Chianti, Greve (B,D) Day 3: Transfer to Radda and enjoy specialty food tasting. Discover the local shops as you meander through the alleys of this typical Chianti town.
Accommodations: Fattoria Valle, Panzano or Albergo del Chianti, Greve (B,D) Day 4: The area of Greve is featured today, with a visit to this quaint wine-market town and a walk in the nearby hills. Later, you learn about the complex process of grappa distillation, followed by a tasting of the final product (if you dare!) at one of the area’s traditional distilleries. Transfer to Castellina in Chianti.

Formerly a private country home, this hotel is set in the heart of Chianti. The lounge with original wood beams and terracta floors offer a warm ambiance. The hotel is decorated with authentic rustic Tuscan furniture, wrought iron beds, and offers a panaroma stretching over the Elsa Valley from Monteriggioni to San Gimiganano. Day 5: Enjoy a guided tour of Siena, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Italy. Lunch on your own in one of the many restaurants followed by time to wander through the medieval town. Return to Castellina in Chianti for some time to relax before a farewll dinner at a local restaurant.
