Hooked on Cycling and Walking is a family owned business established in 1997. They are specialists in cycling and walking holidays in Europe and the Americas, and currently have vacations in Scotland, France (Mainland and Corsica), Spain (Mainland, Majorca and Canary Islands), Italy (Mainland, Sardinia and Sicily), Austria, Hungary, Belgium, Slovenia, Portugal (Mainland and Madeira), Germany, Greece (Mainland and Crete), Romania, Denmark, England, Wales, Canada, America, and Guatemala.
Indeed in these countries over 40 cycling tours and 40 walking tours are offered, ensuring that Hooked on Cycling and Walking really does have the widest choice of outdoor vacations.
The majority of the tours are on a self-guided basis, although there are a select number of guided and group based tours. Self-guided tours offer you the ultimate flexibility; usually you can start your vacation on any day and often you can add days to the schedule. Not only that, but you get all the local back up support, hotels booked, fantastic route guides and maps, tourist information and details guide book, luggage transfers and bike rentals on bike tours. Indeed you get everything of a guided trip but without the walking or cycling guided.
Imagine starting your daily bike or hike when you feel like it and stop when you wish for that coffee or photo shoot or to visit that historic building without the worry that a group wishes to carry on. Of course if you are worried about taking your vacation in a foreign country and need the help of a guide then Hooked on Cycling and Walking still has guided tours available.
At Hooked on Cycling and Walking they are passionate about the outdoors and are very active cyclists and walkers themselves. They really pride themselves on itineraries for all tours and always spend time at each tour location making sure the local support and service is first-class. Hooked on Cycling and Walking wishes to put money back into each region so all representatives live locally and they become passionate about their region and want to make sure you make the best of your vacation and see all those hidden gems. They always try and locate that special hotel or guest house; they do not look for five stars but instead for places to stay that are unique in character to the region, usually family-owned, feature wonderful cuisine and of course offer fantastic hospitality. Hooked on Cycling and Walking is also a member of three professional associations which monitor the tour operator industry. As members of the BITOA (British incoming tour operators association – now know as UK Incoming), they have exceeded very tough quality guidelines for the business. The BITOA requires strict business practices when providing holidays throughout Europe. They have been members of this professional organization for several years. They are also members of ABTOI and Visit Scotland both organizations controlling tourism to Italy and Scotland respectively.
Not only this, but take a look at their prices … you will be nicely surprised. It is not Hooked on Cycling and Walking’s policy to inflate the prices so as to make their pockets bigger, but they try to offer realistic prices for superb quality and customer support.

Reservation Policy
Booking form completed and a deposit of £75 per persons if outside eight weeks before departure. If within eight weeks of departure then payment in full is required at booking.
Cancellation Policy
Up to 56 days prior to holiday start date - loss of deposit.
36-55 days prior to holiday start date - 50% of total holiday cost.
28-35 days prior to holiday start date - 75% of total holiday cost.
1-27 days prior to holiday start date - 100% of total holiday cost.
