Message from Joyce Byrne, Owner
Welcome to the Ireland of my dreams and, I hope, yours. I started running these tours in the Summer of 1995 and I quickly realized that this was the best decision I'd ever made. I have managed to convert what is essentially a passionate hobby into a small, well-run business.
I have always loved to travel and since the 1980s have traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and South America. From the experiences I gained on my own journeys I have devised itineraries that are both empathetic to the travelers needs and sympathetic to the environment.
I can promise you: we will not be part of any tourist trail, or the "sheep following" mentality. You will enjoy the wide, sweeping expanses of Ireland's beaches; her lonely mountain trails, her windswept hills, the soulful air of her traditional music and the warm, smiling welcome of her people.
My aim has always been to offer quality not quantity, so Joyce's Ireland remains small but perfectly formed! I hope we meet this year; but if not, maybe one day in the future.
